Case #4

This patient came to the office with pain. Dr. Dorfman discovered she had fractured a tooth that was part of a conventional bridge. Fractures, as well as decay, and endodontic failure requiring root canal treatment are not uncommon occurrences affecting teeth that serve as bridge supports. Bridges should be checked thoroughly at exam appointments to look for early signs of failure.

Dental implants were the treatment of choice to replace the previously missing tooth and the fractured tooth.

The implants and the adjacent teeth received beautiful, new porcelain crowns were placed by her dentist.

Our patient's new teeth look and feel like natural teeth and she is able to floss normally again.

In addition, the dental implants stop the bone loss that occurs when the natural tooth root is lost.

Case #5
Problems: Loose bridge, decay, fractured tooth, pain
Resolution: Dental implant, porcelain bridge (and prevention of bone loss)

This patient was having problems with her existing bridge. Unfortunately, it was determined that one tooth had extensive decay making the tooth non-restorable.

The patient did not realize anything was wrong until another tooth fractured, causing her pain.

Both teeth needed to be removed and a bone preservation technique (Socket Preservation) was performed to keep the bone from resorbing immediately after the extractions.

This successfully maintained the bone dimension for ideal implant placement. Two implants were placed and a new aesthetic porcelain bridge was fabricated.

Our patient now has a solid feeling bridge and can chew with ease and confidence.

Case #6
This patient had no upper teeth and could not wear a denture due to gagging. Their was severe bone loss in the sinus areas.

The implants now support a full set of upper teeth after bone grafting the sinuses.
